Alas Purwo is the most eastern National Park of Java.
There is a good beach for surfing named Plengkung
G-Land, National Park Alas Purwo

G-Land, the Seven Giant Wave Wonder, icons given foreign surfers to roll waves on a beach in the National Park Alas Purwo (TNAP), Banyuwangi, East Java. Its location is ideal, because it is at the threshold of the south, east and most of mainland Java. Strategic location for surfing, because it protrudes upright, as if looking at the coastline of the island of Java from the direction of the open sea.
G-Land has three different connotations: "Green", because of its location on the edge of primary forest is still good. "Great", because one of the world's best waves for surfing and "Grajagan", a name of the nearest fishing port, where no roads to cross to get there before passing in the woods TNAP. Whatever it means, that's the nickname given to a local name called Plengkung.
Waves in Plengkung is one of the best in the world. Waves as high as 4-6 meters along the 2km in the formation seven composite wave "go to left" fit ridden by surfers left-handed. Besides Plengkung for surfers prof, there are also Beach Batu Lawang for beginners. The waves here are known "twenty twenty" which means twenty-minute paddle to the center of sea and twenty minutes enjoying the catwalk waves to beach.

TNAP besides surfers paradise, is also a good place for adventure through the woods, observing wildlife in open fields and a visit to mystical caves. For some reason, TNAP is also the most visited places for the purpose of meditation from various ethnic and religious backgrounds from all over Indonesia. Some people even have survived 3 years meditating jungle and caves. Interesting talk, exchange thought with them, about the perspective of the universe, the meaning of life and the true purpose of life.

Meditation caves in question is Cave Palace, Princess Cave and Cave Padepokan, other than Tiger Cave is said to have haigh mystical values. This cave is reached from Post Pancur as far as 2 km on foot. Not far from Rawabendo, there is an old temple named Giri Seloka who've been there long before there TNAP. According to records at the Post Rawabendo guest book, most of the visitors TNAP is a guest worship leading to this temple. Today is the busiest in the TNAP Paging day Wesi, full holy day ceremonies as well as in the Bromo-Tengger Kesodo.

In TNAP there Sadengan field, where about 200 heads of bison, deer and peacocks live. This location is not far from the entrance Rawabendo, through 3 km macadam road with views of the old teak forest with status reforested. There is also a Ngagel beach, where leatherback turtle breeding, brown and green. This location is just 3 km from Rawabendo through macadam road and sandy beach.
TNAP has many nice beaches, free from the hustle and bustle of the tourist city. Commercial activity which means that only in Plengkung, managed by two or three private operators as special resort of surfers. Here, almost all his guests were visitors Worldwide, especially from Australia. Lodging and life has to offer is very down to earth, blending with the natural setting TNAP. Cottage or small room for rent to use natural materials, such as. wood, bamboo and roofed with lighting kerosene lamps. Some are even quite unique, with the bedroom past the form of ox-carts. However, the costs are quite expensive, up to hundreds of U.S. dollars in a single package: a few days to spend the night, surfing equipment rental, meals and transfer costs from / to Denpasar.
There are also beach Trianggulasi, white sand beach lodging directly managed by the TNAP with a more affordable cost. The beach shot with a grain of sand that besar2 round and very light, so that was difficult to walk. In addition there again Parang Beach Ireng with jet-black sand. On the beach between Pancur and there are rows of pohon2 Plengkung kecik giant sapodilla grown in a row. Kecik sapodilla fruit woods with red-colored skin has a sweet taste, fruit strewn beach.

Forest TNAP can be reached via the town of Banyuwangi continued to Muncar or through Benculuk with the ultimate goal Anyar Market. From here we left the village, towards the end Blambangan isolated forest, through 10 km macadam road to the main door of the National Parks in Rowobendo. Direct Registration can be done here. From Rowobendo, 3km macadam road towards Pancur, a post TNAP Beach. From Pancur, bercabang2 road toward Sadengan, Ngagel beach or continue south toward Plengkung. While in the forest, fairly clear direction, and less likely to stray, even without a guide. If you need a guide, or assistant rangers rangers were friendly ready to help.
The road from Pancur to Plengkung far as 6km is a newly paved road, with a small part that is still not finished. This road was questioned by NGOs, the target of eco-tourism on the one hand and conservatives on the other forest preservation. Whatever his opinion, many people agreed rate that TNAP including one national park's most successful and most free from intrusion / illegal logging is rampant in almost all the national parks of Indonesia.
Location pantai2 in TNAP dpt achieved in a matter of a minute of Pancur. Special Plengkung, private vehicles may only be parked at the post Pancur. From here, followed by 3 ways: walking for 1.5 hours, TNAP rangers escorted trail bike ride, or use a special transport TNAP.
Whatever the manner and purpose, TNAP is a unique national park is worth a visit because it has the attraction of the beautiful beach, a mystery, but convenient. If your vacation to Bali, stop for a moment, it takes only 2 hours from crossing Ketapang. We are sure you will find a new experience here. Not many Indonesian people ever come here. I myself, was lucky enough never see the beauty of the beach and the silence of the forest in this National Park Alas Purwo.
